Becoming a member of the Nebraska Women’s Leadership Network can be one of the most rewarding experiences. It is a great opportunity for college students and alumna to connect and network. Since I have been a part of the Network, I have had the opportunity to meet many business professionals who offer great advice. One problem I see with NWLN is that the ratio of college students to alumna is off. I feel there could be many more college students involved. NWLN does get the word out about their organization, just not at the right time. It would be a great idea for them to host an event before the school year starts to inform students what NWLN is and engage with them by having potential members tweet to apply by using #NWLN and explain why they want to be apart of the organization. This would give NWLN an opportunity to interact and engage with those pursuing the organization and would create a buzz by having applicants apply by tweeting.
