Local record store, Lefty’s Records has been providing records for years now in the Lincoln area. While vinyl is old technology, it is still one of the best ways, quality wise, to listen to music and other recordings. If Lefty’s were to dedicate a free record day and give out some of their least popular records and maybe just Single LP’s, than they would be able to gain a lot of earned media through local articles and such. While Lefty’s has no problem with their already fairly loyal fan base, the vinyl collecting community is already small, so by having a free record day, it would attract some people who don’t collect records and maybe get them into collecting.
