The Post & Nickel has been a staple of downtown Lincoln for decades, but in a college driven town and in a competitive industry, the business could use some earned media (trust me I was an employee). Working here I came to see that business was slow but steady at the same time. Top of the line clothing at what I would call very expensive prices, makes it hard to get college kids to stop in. An idea I have for earned media would be a pop-up shop in the union, selling suits that are on clearance to students who are about to graduate in order to be well dressed for job interviews and possible future jobs. This can be earned media by having representatives spread the word and talk about it on campus, maybe even creating a #postnnickel.
