Verizon’s go90-Kaleb Duncan

Verizon has unveiled a new app available only to Verizon-carried phones that is an example of owned media aimed primarily at Millennials.  This exclusive app has a variety of different functions that capture the quick attention spans of adolescents and young adults.  With a wide assortment of popular online video streaming websites such as Comedy Central, ESPN, and Youtube content creators, this app streams their content on their user-friendly app.  Consumers can then cut down the videos into “snackable” portions that they can share across any social media platform of their choosing.  This app is an incredible example of owned media targeting an their already-existing online audience in the age of short attention spans and content-picky consumers.
