Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo is a local and nonprofit organization. They don’t normally do a lot of advertising, likely due to monetary restrictions. In 2015, they released their first paid media commercial. From my research I can’t tell if it was only released online or on TV as well. The Zoo is trying to attract new guests. The problem they are looking to solve is increasing traffic within the zoo. This commercial is targeting those who have been to the zoo in the past, but not recently, as well as those who have maybe never been to this zoo.

The commercial is of a kid who has the “zoo on his mind.” They may be trying to hint at that once you have been to the Henry Doorly Zoo, you won’t be able to forget it or get it off your mind. It leaves you wanting to return time and time again. The commercial is goofy, but can attract consumers of all ages. This commercial ads entertainment value. But, it is describing an experience you wouldn’t be able to get anywhere else in Omaha.
