National Police of Colombia Create App to Prevent Robbery
By: Morgan Rezac
The National Police of Colombia created a course for citizens to combat robbery around the holiday season. The course is given by thieves who are considered experts in their field on a website and mobile device application. The brand is trying to reach Colombian citizens.
The National Police of Colombia wanted to educate the public on how to prevent robbery, especially during the holiday season. It also wanted to show Colombians that the police are there to help, by embracing criticism and empowering people.
Technology is an easy way to connect with people and by using thieves that are in jail, the content attracted citizens to the website and application. With the use of integration, the brand was able to interact with Colombians using multiple forms of media.
The application and website most closely resemble owned media because the National Police of Colombia have complete control of what content is available to citizens.
